PURE DIETS PHILOSOPHY |

| PURE Diets is exactly what it sounds like. We encourage foods that are natural, and not man tampered with. By doing this, our bodies can digest, and metabolize the foods we eat without causing havoc on our systems. It also allows us to use the food we eat to perform its function in our body. Pesticides, and chemicals that destroy the food that we eat, contaminate our systems, slow down our metabolism, and can cause us to feel sluggish, and crave more processed, chemically enhanced foods. |

WE DO NOT ELIMINATE FOOD GROUPS A PURE diet does not believe in eliminating food groups. Instead, we educate our clients on the purpose of each food group in our diet. We make sure that our clients understand the dangers in eliminating food groups, but help make the best food choices in each category.
GOALS We want to know what your fitness goals are. If we do not know what you are dieting for, we cannot create an effective plan for you.
FUEL FOR FIRE Fire meaning activity. This is always a huge eye opener for most. It is important to understand that each athlete, and or client will need different foods, in different amounts to fuel for his/her activities. There is no cookie cutter plan. EVERYONE is different, wants different things, and needs different foods and amounts. This is a science. Meal Times, Food amounts, grams, everything must be followed in order to work. I do not make things up as I go along. We will go over this during consultations.

GLYCEMIC INDEX If you do not know what this is, you will when we talk. Here is a briefing. The glycemic index (GI) is a ranking of carbohydrates on a scale from 0 to 100 according to the extent to which they raise blood sugar levels after eating. Foods with a high GI are those which are rapidly digested and absorbed and result in marked fluctuations in blood sugar levels. Low-GI foods, by virtue of their slow digestion and absorption, produce gradual rises in blood sugar and insulin levels, and have proven benefits for health. Low GI diets have been shown to improve both glucose and lipid levels in people with diabetes (type 1 and type 2). They have benefits for weight control because they help control appetite and delay hunger. Low GI diets also reduce insulin levels and insulin resistance.
PURE Diets is a Sport Specific, and is geared for assisting those who are looking to enhance there already existing Fitness lifestyles. It is important to understand, that we do not follow normal RDA guidelines. WE DO NOT treat any disorder, or metabolic dysfunction, and are plans are designed for who are in good Health.
